Referral program terms

Effective October 1, 2026

Send a business to Sent by Moe and, when it places its first paid order, you earn a reward. These are the rules, in plain English. Ready to start? Get your referral link.

Who can refer

• You must be 18 or older and live in the United States.
• Anyone with a verified email can refer: neighbors, event organizers, and business owners. You verify your email with a code we send you.
• No referring yourself, and no referring a business under the same ownership or control as you. Those referrals don't qualify.

How the reward works

• Your reward is 10% of the amount the referred business actually paid for its first paid order, after its own discounts and credits and not counting refunds.
• It is capped at $50 per referral.
• The amount is fixed when that first order is paid. Later changes to this program don't change a reward that is already earned.
• You can earn at most 12 rewards in any 12 months.

Credit or cash

You choose for each referral.

• Credit is for businesses only. It is applied to your next order on sentbymoe.com. It has no cash value, and it expires 12 months after you earn it.
• Cash is paid to the bank account you connect through Stripe.

How cash is paid

• Cash is held for 30 days after the referral qualifies, in case the order is refunded.
• Once your payable balance is at least $25, it is paid out. Smaller balances wait until they reach $25.
• Payouts run through Stripe. Stripe verifies your identity, collects your bank details, and issues any required tax forms (for example, Form 1099). We never see your bank or Social Security details.
• You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn.

Fair play

Sent by Moe may review, hold, or void a referral we reasonably believe is fraudulent or was not made in good faith. If a referral is under review, you'll see that in your dashboard.

Changes to the program

We may change or end the program for future referrals. If we do, we'll post the notice on this page. Rewards you have already earned are honored.
